Yes, a stock NA would lose to a stock Crustang GT. I used to be a huge Mustang fan (owned a 1980 straight 6), but have lost interest since '93. The old 5 liter motors were quite capable with the right machine work. My brother has a tbird with a Mustang 5.0 motor - Holly carb conversion, hi-perf heads, 400 HP. And to be quite honest, if all you're after is speed, the Mustang is the better choice. They're crappy cars, but WAY more capable than a NA Z. Plenty o' stangs running 10 second 1/4's. That's HARD to do in a Z with turbos, let alone without. :)
